Fatshark has announced a new Warhammer 40k: Darktide update, and if you've been struggling for things to do at a high level, this is the update for you.

First off, the Mission Board will now cycle more often through released conditions, and the ways in which conditions work according to difficulty level has also been changed.

You should now see fewer High Intensity conditions on lower difficulties and fewer Low Intensity conditions on higher difficulties, thus hopefully balancing the gameplay experience a little better.

New Maelstrom Missions have also been added, giving you the chance to test your Darktide arsenal against new conditions consisting of "new modifiers and existing ones in different variations".

In addition, a new Mission Board is being introduced. It'll consist of higher-difficulty missions that you must be level 30 to play, so you should have a bit more to do at endgame now.

If you've been waiting for things to do in Darktide at level 30, this new update is very much for you.

Progression in Darktide has also been adjusted in this latest update.

Experience required to level characters has been reduced between levels 2 and 20 by around 20%, and the total number of missions on the standard operations board has been increased.

What's more, joining Quickplay games will now net you Ordo Dockets, Experience, Diamantine, and Plasteel, so you'll get additional resources for hopping into missions quickly.

You'll now note that character-bound currencies in Darktide have been migrated into an account-wide wallet so you can use them on whatever character you like, too.

Plenty of other changes have been made in this latest Darktide update, so be sure to take a look at the full patch notes on Steam if you want to see everything that's changed in Fatshark's shooter.

Warhammer 40k: Darktide is available right now on PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. It's also included with a PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership.
