In the latest video uploaded to the Valorant Youtube channel, the developers provided insight on what to come to the FPS this year, on top of sharing their gratitude for the support the game has gotten over the years.

Valorant is one of the fastest-growing FPS games to come to the market in the last few years, and it isn't difficult to see why. The developers took everything that many fans love about Fortnite, Warzone, Apex, and Overwatch and threw it together into one game. While it of course has its pitfalls, it is still a pretty good game that fans can't seem to get enough of.

The beginning of the video shows exactly how big the game has gotten, with thousands of players screaming in the crowd and just enjoying themselves at the events. Executive Producer Anna Donlon starts the video off by describing just how grateful the developers are for the support and patience that the fans have shown them, then goes on to describe the changes and updates coming to the game this year. One of the major focuses will be improving the toxic environment and cheating within the community. Game Director Andy Ho then goes on to hint that new maps, agents, game modes, and skins will be released later in 2023, and though they don't want to give away too much right now, they do mention something worthwhile.

Valorant will be getting its very own Team Deathmatch mode, but with a twist. The developers say that it will be a fresh take on the "norm", though, at the time of writing, we don't know what that will look like. Andy Ho also mentioned two other game modes coming soon, Premier and Swift. There will also be a new way of unlocking rewards, but again, they did not go into detail as to what that feature will be.

It appears that the team will be keeping their lips sealed on what's to come for now, but it is nice to have an idea of what to expect later this year.
