Do you like Dating Simulators? Do you like Dead by Daylight? Well, do I have a trademark/game idea for you! It's called Hooked on You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim. Now, I know all of you are doing their best impression of Ryan Reynold's but why? gif right now, but it's not like this is totally unexpected. Behaviour Interactive has shown repeatedly that they're unafraid of stepping outside of the box. We have crossovers such as Leatherface, Hellraiser, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Scream, Saw, and most recently Sadako Rising, better known as the The Ring outside of Japan. They've even dabbled with NFT's, so it's not like Behaviour Interactive isn't afraid to dip their toes into murky territory already.
Then there's the dating simulator genre itself. Already it's pretty weird. Video games where you date fictional people? That's quite strange, and it gets stranger when you realize that there's a Sesame Street dating sim, an Eldritch dating sim, and a combination of both dating sim and dog management.
That's why Hooked on You is surprising, but not hugely surprising. Dating sim's are already weird, and Behaviour Interactive is clearly not afraid to rock the boat. So, a dating sim set in the Dead by Daylight universe? Why not! Although at this point I have to wonder what else Behaviour Interactive has up their sleeves. Something weird, undoubtedly, but what other genre could they do? A creepy point-and-click adventure? Sure! A Skyrim-esque open world RPG set in the Dead by Daylight universe? Sign me up!
There's only a trademark available for Hooked on You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim right now, and the trademark itself is only a few days old, so one can imagine that we'll get more information eventually. For more information on their Dead by Deadlight dating sim or whatever weird thing that Behaviour Interactive does next, stay tuned to TechRaptor for all the details.
Dead by Daylight is available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, Stadia, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
