If you've been waiting for a Hooked On You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim release date, your wait is over. The off-kilter visual novel launches today on Steam, so make sure to go and pick it up if you've been longing to be held by the Trapper's huge arms (and who hasn't?).
So the Hooked On You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim release date is today?
That's right. The surprise release date announcement for the most unlikely dating sim in the world was announced today during the Behaviour Interactive showcase. You should be able to head over to the game's Steam page right now and pick it up if you're excited to start playing, and given that you finally get to romance the Wraith in all his spiky glory, why wouldn't you be? You never know: you just might find love in the least likely of places.
What is Hooked On You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim?
This game's name explains its premise pretty well. It turns out The Entity from Dead by Daylight has created a beach realm, and on that beach realm are four rather gorgeous killers, all of whom are potential romantic interests. The game allows you to build relationships with The Trapper, The Wraith, The Spirit, and The Huntress, all of whom have been reimagined as visual novel-style visions of perfection. It provides new information and insights on the four monsters, information that isn't something you can learn in Dead by Daylight itself. When this one was first inadvertently revealed via trademark, many were convinced it wasn't real, but it turns out Behaviour put the work in and seriously created a Dead by Daylight dating sim. Impressive.
Hooked On You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim is available to buy right now via Steam. Behaviour says it isn't currently planning to bring the game to consoles, but hopefully if it's successful enough, we might see it arrive on other platforms. If nothing else, there's a killer idea (no pun intended) at the core of this game, so go take a look at it on Steam right now if you're into both dating sims and asymmetrical multiplayer horror games.
