Multiple sources have stated that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 is in development -- and we might get a reveal for this Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel this year.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was one of the nicer surprises in recent years, serving as a fine return to form for fans of single-player Star Wars games. Since its release, it has launched a New Game+ Mode, announced a free next-gen upgrade, and removed Denuvo DRM. Now, it looks like a sequel is on the way and set to be revealed this year.
What We Know About Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2
As gaming news curator Nibel highlighted, Giant Bomb's Jeff Grubb talked about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 on his GrubbSnax podcast. According to him, there's a "chance" that this Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel will be released in 2022, although a 2023 release is also a possibility.
Then, a second source emerged. Star Wars leak site Bespin Bulletin also said that the game is in development and targeting a late 2022 release (via Reddit). However, it appears that we won't have to wait too long to see it -- the scuttlebutt says that current plans are to reveal this game at Star Wars Celebration 2022, which is taking place from May 26-29, 2022. Bespin Bulletin also notes that a Star Wars Day announcement on May 4, 2022 is also possible.
Interestingly, Bespin Bulletin notes that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 might ditch the "Fallen Order" part of the title altogether. His sources indicate that the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel will still keep the "Star Wars Jedi" title, but it will have a new subtitle behind that and no numbering.
As always, keep in mind that these are rumors and that you should take them with a grain of salt. That said, two fairly reliable reporters have indicated that this game is going to be revealed within the next few months, so there's a good chance that we might actually see it happen.
