We now have a release date for the upcoming SnowRunner Season 9. Titled Renew & Rebuild, the ninth season for the offroading sim will take you to an Ontario ravaged by wildfires, asking you to help bring life back to a desolate landscape of scorched trees and ruined farmland.
With SnowRunner's last season representing the final major content season in the game's Year 2 pass, Season 9 will be the first major drop for the Year 3 pass. Arriving on February 28th, it'll add new areas to explore, new vehicles to drive, and more activities to take on as you drive around Ontario.
First up, you're getting two new maps in the form of Albany River and Burnt Forest. Both of these maps are 4-kilometer-squared areas (around 1.5 square miles) with "early autumn moods and a melancholic feel", according to publisher Focus Entertainment. The atmosphere should help to soothe you as you carry out your task of bringing Ontario back to life.

Two new vehicles are also on their way as part of SnowRunner Season 9. They are the Derry Special 15C-177, described as a "dedicated Heavy-class vehicle specialized in carrying water" that boasts powerful torque and a hardy construction, and the ZiKZ 566A, an offroad truck that can be customized with a "wide variety" of addons.
This is just the beginning of SnowRunner's content schedule this year. Three more major content seasons are planned for the foreseeable future, including SnowRunner's third big expansion in Season 12. Big brands like Kenworth and Mack are also making their way to the game this year to further increase your immersion.
You can pick up SnowRunner right now on PC via Steam, and it's also available on PlayStation consoles, Xbox platforms, and Nintendo Switch. Season 9 drops on February 28th, and you can either buy it as a standalone piece of DLC or pick it up as part of the game's Year 3 pass, which will also contain the next three seasons after Season 9.
