SnowRunner Season 8, also known as the Grand Harvest Expansion, has just been released for Year 2 Pass owners across all platforms. It adds a new region with four huge summer maps to explore, as well as a new farming gameplay system, which is a first for the franchise. Farming should make for a welcome distraction if you want something different.
The latest season also adds three new vehicles into the game, all of which will aid you in your journey of becoming a farmer after a bad streak of "crop failures and poor harvests". This means that you'll be using machinery like the heavy-duty 4WD tractor Kirovets K700 and its modern K7M variation. You'll also be able to transport both produce and fertilizers with the vintage heavy-duty Step 39331 “Pike”.
A new region has also been added to the game, which adds four massive maps for you to rehabilitate. While it's true that earlier seasons also added massive regions to explore, the farming gameplay in this new season should make things feel fresh. You'll be renovating a town and its airfield, building clean energy infrastructure, fixing farming equipment, and doing whatever else is needed to create a sustainable environment.
Going forward, the SnowRunner Year 3 Pass is coming soon, and if you pick it up, you'll be playing through four phases of content which will add new vehicles, add-ons, maps, and more. You'll also instantly receive new skins when purchasing the Year 3 Pass, so that's something else to look forward to.
Last but not least, there's a new survival truck arriving in the form of the Rezvani Hercules, which is a high-performance 6-wheel Scout truck. It's the first Rezvani vehicle to join SnowRunner's roster, and it has great off-roading capabilities as well as a long wheelbase and frame to provide good stability. It's available to download right now for the game, so check it out if you're after a real monster to roam the land in.
