While the life simulator Life by You has been considerably delayed, its developers are continuing to showcase the Sims-like game in new videos.
First of all, we take a tour of the town that serves as a setting for the game. We take a look at the surroundings as well as the city center, which includes plenty of businesses that your Sims... ahem... humans can work and shop at.
There is even a separate little district further down the river and a waterfront area.
Interestingly, the town can be customized quite extensively, and not only can the player build new buildings, but also pick up existing ones and move them. You can take a look below.
You can check it out below.
The second video shows one of the businesses mentioned above, the car dealership. We can pick the color of the cars before buying them, and we can even own multiple. All we need to do is to pick the keys of the ones we want to set as active at any given time.
We can also trade the keys of a vehicle to another human to gift it to them, and since we're trading, we get a sneak peek at the ability to trade money as well.
If you're not familiar with Life by You, it's the new Sims-like game by Paradox Tectonic, with development led by Rod Humble, whom you may know for his work on The Sims franchise and Second Life.
The game is scheduled to release in early access for PC on March 5, 2024.
Life by You was teased during an event a few months ago and then fully revealed a couple of weeks later with the first trailer. We also saw another gameplay video showing how you can manually control your human and even drive a car around town, on top of one showing how you can add, remove, and customize humans in your town, one showcasing the building tools, another showing how to construct a house from scratch, one focusing on nature, one showing how to manage a human's needs, one showcasing a conversation, and another focusing on the character creation.
