Group cooking and new food delivery options are two of the many new features arriving in The Sims 4 Update 1.77.131.1030, making EA's life sim game more interesting than ever.

The Sims 4 is always dropping new content and EA promised players some pretty neat things for the Summer of Sims. This new update adds some cool cosmetic goodies to the game, yes, but there are some rather interesting gameplay additions and changes that have arrived in this patch as well.

What's New in The Sims 4 Update 1.77.131.1030?

Two of the bigger additions in The Sims 4 Update 1.77.131.1030 focus on food. Groups of up to five Sims can now participate in "Group Cooking" — no more going it alone in the kitchen! And if your Sim is feeling lazy, you can always order out via the new Zoomers food delivery service.

Water is getting some buffs, too, as preparation for tomorrow's release of The Sims 4: Cottage Living. Players can now make "natural, organic bodies of water" by simply digging a hole and filling it with water. You'll also be able to select from more options than clear water — if you'd prefer to have a murky pond in your backyard, you can do that now.

Also arriving today is artwork from Ashley Lukashepsky and Mohammed Iman Fayaz as seen in our header image. That same image also shows off a new modernized version of the large afro hairstyle that was previously shown off by the developers.

Many of these new features are setting things up for Cottage Living, but EA hasn't forgotten about the base game players. The Calendar — previously exclusive to the Seasons expansion — is now available in the base game, adding a useful level of functionality to the game for players who haven't bought too much additional content.

These are just some of the new additions on the way; you can read the full The Sims 4 Update 1.77.131.1030 patch notes for all the fine details. If you haven't yet jumped into this great life sim game, you can buy The Sims 4 for PC and consoles via its official website starting at $39.99 or your regional equivalent.

What do you think of the new additions in today's The Sims 4 update? What features do you feel EA really needs to add to the game? Let us know in the comments below!
