Today Electronic Arts revealed a new gameplay trailer of the upcoming expansion coming to its popular The Sims 4 game, the Horse Ranch Expansion Pack.
Following the expansion's reveal a few days ago, the trailer showcases what you can do with the expansion when you join the ranch-focused community. We take a look at the Equestrian Center where you can enjoy competitions like barrel racing and jumping.
Of course, your Sim can learn to ride their horse, and there are different mounts you can familiarize yourself with, with different personalities and traits, pretty much like people. Some are friendly, some are a bit more challenging. As you get closer to your horse, practicing your riding skills becomes easier.
The video also showcases how horses are embedded in the community, and you can see people riding pretty much everywhere. Of course, you'll also be able to build barns and dedicated decor on your property, and you'll have to work hard to meet your horses' needs and keep them happy. This includes feeding them, playing with them, brushing them, training them, and cleaning after them. Things can get hectic if you have other animals on top of the horses.
Luckily, you can hire a Ranch Hand to do a lot of the work for you via a dedicated billboard and save some time for other activities like winemaking.... ahem... Nectar making. I forgot "Wine" is a bad word in The Sims.

The Sims 4 is currently available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The Horse Ranch Expansion Pack releases on July 20 at 10:00 am PST.
