Sims 4 Growing Together update

In the upcoming Sims 4 update, players will be given even more customization options than ever before, as they can now add birthmarks, stretch marks, and even c-section scars to their Sim.

Being inclusive in a video game is tough, especially when it comes to the natural features that come with being a human being over time or from birth. That includes things like stretch marks, whether they be from a growth spurt, weight loss or gain, or even being pregnant, they are natural features that occur from just being a person. The next expansion pack to come to Sims 4 titled "Growing Together" not only allows players to completely live out their dreams of being parents, but it will be accompanied by a free update that will bring customization features that let people embrace themselves for who they are or who they want to be. Players can now fully represent themselves or others for who they are inside and out, and that is super important in this day and age.

The Sims has always been about living out your wildest fantasies or dreams that may not be obtainable in our day-to-day lives, and the update allows us to showcase our true selves or how we want to be viewed. With the addition of stretch marks, birthmarks, and even c-section scars, we can recreate ourselves exactly as we are or wish to be and love ourselves for it, whether that be in real life or in-game. Players can now add birthmarks to their children as well in Sims 4, so for those parents out there that are trying to recreate their real-life family, it's neat to be able to add in the exact details that make our kids who they are. For those who may not have a family of their own, this presents the opportunity to create the life they have always wanted within a virtual reality.

The update will go live on March 14, 2023, and will be available on both PC and console for free.
