The Yakuza series has always been the ultimate Ojisan (middle-aged man) simulator, but Sega has now carried the idea to its extreme consequences with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's Dondoko Island feature.
Revealed during the Xbox Partner Preview livestream, the new feature is basically a full-fledged cozy life/island simulation within the game. Basically, it's your very own Yakuza Animal Crossing.
It comes with housing, village building, crafting, friend-making, and pretty much everything you may expect from your Farmville-like (perhaps besides the farming, which wasn't shown, but I would be surprised if it wasn't there in some form).
You'd think that such an expansive chunk of gameplay would be its own game, but no. The Yakuza series has included approximately five games worth of gameplay in each of its installments for the longest time, so it's not surprising that this is all included in the package.
In terms of plot, Dondoko is a deserted island full of illegally dumped trash, but Ichiban Kasuga has always had a talent for seeing value where everyone else sees trash. That's why he's going to roll up the sleeves of his Hawaiian shirt, clean up the rubbish, and recycle it to build furniture, decorations, and more.
