Rocket League Developers Next Of Many To Reveal Loot Box Drop Rates

While the heat around Loot Boxes seems to be cooling off it's still clear that many players, companies, and even governments want better clarity on what your chances are of earning an item are as you hop into a new game. We've already seen the League of Legends and Overwatch drop rates revealed in the past and now Psyonix is following suit, releasing the chances of earning items in their title Rocket League.

The numbers revealed are for the rarity of items dropped from different crates and keys that are available for players to acquire, the odds of getting a Painted or Certified item are also included. Psyonix also prefaced in their blog post that the rates of each of these item drops haven't changed since their system was first implemented in September 2016. The rates of getting each of these items are as follows:

• Rare Item: 55%
• Very Rare Item: 28%
• Import Item: 12%
• Exotic Item: 4%
• Black Market Item: 1%
• Chance of receiving Painted attribute: 25%
• Chance of receiving Certified attribute: 25%

Psyonix even went further to explain when using a key on a crate the game will first roll to decide which rarity of items will be selected after the rarity pool is known then an item will be selected from within it. Only after all of that is it then decided if the item will also be Painted or Certified.

All of this disclosure is just one part of Psyonix' plan to change up Rocket League with their added Rocket Pass and new progression system that was added to the game this Summer.
