In an announcement at the official Pokemon Go site, it was revealed that player of the hit mobile game will soon be able to take pictures with their favorite Pokemon. While players were able to take photos of Pokemon in the past, this new game mode will offer a stand-alone experience with players accessing the mode either via their camera item in their bag or when looking at an individual Pokemon's status.
Once in photo mode, things begin by taking and throwing a Pokeball at a location on the screen to get things going. From there you can rotate your Pokemon and look at them from a variety of angles and points of view. Pokemon will not always be up to posing for their photo, however, so you will also be able to fix the problem by brushing against them which should get them to focus and defeat any distraction they might be facing.
Pictures shot in this mode will be saved directly to your phone for you to look at any time. On top of this, you will also be able to share your pictures of your precious pokemon with the world via any of your linked social media accounts with the touch of a button. And if you feel like your photos are top grade, you can show them off with your fellow trainers on twitter with the hashtag #GOsnapshot.
Pokemon GO is a mobile spin-off of the legendary Pokemon series of games of monster raising and is developed by Niantic Inc. Recently the game has given players a way to play at their mobile Pokemon at home by transferring them from their phone or other devices to the Pokemon Lets Go duo of games.
Will you be using this new mode to show off your Pokemon? Let us know in the comments.
