The Pokemon GO Spring Event 2020 is here! Players who have been itching to catch some more Pokemon will soon have a chance to get some new goodies in-game!
Believe it or not, the nice folks at Niantic are well aware that the current pandemic has a lot of people on lockdown. That's why they're focusing on solo content for this latest event. Let's break it down!
What Can You Do in the Pokemon GO Spring Event 2020?
Kicking things off, the following Pokemon will be appearing more often in the wild:
In addition, there will be a special version of Buneary with a flower crown and a special version of Pikachu with a flower hat. If you're particularly lucky, you might encounter shiny versions of these Pokemon! You'll be able to rep some spring style as well with the addition of a Togepi-themed bag and hoodie in the shop.
For those of you fortunate enough to be able to go out and walk, you'll want to load up some 2km eggs into your incubators. These Pokemon will be hatching more often:
- Pichu w/ flower crown
- Togepi w/ flower crown
To help you with these new shorter goals, all eggs received from gifts will be 2km eggs. Furthermore, Lucky Eggs will be lasting for one hour, doubling up on the extra XP gains. That's not all, though — hatch distance is halved for the moment, so you'll be able to pop out new Pokemon pretty darn quickly!
There will be, of course, some special Field Research events for this event. These will reward players who encounter Alolan Exeggutor, Azumarill, and Audino (for the lucky folks who can find it).
