Google Play has been announced as the official sponsor for Niantic's Pokemon Go Fest 2021, and that comes with a special surprise: Android Gamers will get a Google Play Sponsored Gift for free.

Pokemon Go is a wildly popular augmented reality game created by Niantic. Although the hype has fallen off since the game launched back in 2016, it's remained consistently popular and has had many updates and special events since then. Now, the next Pokemon Go Fest is almost here — and Android Gamers will be getting a little something special.

What Are the Pokemon Go Fest 2021 Android Gamer Bonuses?

The Pokemon Go Fest 2021 Android Gamer bonuses are pretty neat — you'll be able to score some free items and a Google Play points modifier.

  • Google Play Sponsored Gift – Trainers playing Pokemon Go on Android devices can get a special sponsored gift on July 17, 2021: a bundle that includes one Incense, one Super Incubator, and 30 Ultra Balls.
  • Google Play Points Multiplier – Google Play subscribers can earn 4x Google Play Points on all in-game purchases in Pokemon Go from July 12–18, 2021. These points can be redeemed for coupons in the game.

What Are the Other Pokemon Go Fest 2021 Bonuses?

In addition to the above bonuses, there's one special offer that's open to anyone regardless of platform: three free months of YouTube Premium.

Eligible Trainers can get three free months of YouTube Premium in the time leading up to Pokemon Go Fest 2021. This allows subscribers to enjoy YouTube and YouTube Music ad-free, offline, and in the background on their mobile devices.

Pokemon Go 5th Anniversary Marks $5 Billion in Revenue Milestone

Aside from the upcoming Pokemon Go Fest, the Pokemon Go 5th Anniversary content is also out right now. The game is also celebrating another great milestone — Pokemon Go has surpassed $5 billion in revenue.

Sensor Tower reports that Pokemon Go has generated, on average, $1 billion in revenue per year since it first launched; the game brought in $641.6 million in the first half of 2021. H1 2021 is also the best first half of a year for Pokemon Go with a 34% increase in revenue compared to the previous year.
