The PlayStation Plus Essential September 2022 lineup appears to have leaked, if a reliable source is to be believed. The games on offer next month will apparently include a neon-soaked racer, an adorably artistic adventure, and an anime fighting game.
What is the PlayStation Plus Essential September 2022 lineup?
Once again, this PS Plus Essential leak comes to us via French platform Dealabs, which has leaked numerous PlayStation Plus lineups in the past. As ever with PlayStation Plus Essential, you're getting three games, all of which are playable on PS5 and two of which are also available on PS4.
First up, your PS Plus Essential PS5 game for September is photographic adventure Toem. It's a rather cute game in which you must help the residents of various Scandinavian villages by taking photos. This one isn't available on PS4, so you'll only be able to check it out if you've got a PS5. So it goes.

Next up, it's Need for Speed Heat. This racer may not be the game that lifts Need for Speed back to its best, but it's a solid enough experience, complete with the kind of ridiculous over-the-top racing and nods to car culture you've come to expect from Need for Speed games. There's also a new Need for Speed on the way, so hopefully we'll hear more about that soon.
Rounding things off is anime fighter Granblue Fantasy: Versus. This is a spinoff of the mobile gacha game Granblue Fantasy, and it's a partnership between that game's developer Cygames and legendary anime fighting studio Arc System Works. Expect lots of flashy combos, anime characters, and overblown storytelling. Enjoy it while you can; after all, there won't be a Dragalia Lost fighting game on the way anytime soon.
Of course, all of this is technically a rumor at this point, so take it with a pinch of salt. However, Dealabs has proven pretty reliable when it comes to PlayStation Plus leaks, so make it a pinch of salt and not a whole shaker. We should get an official announcement regarding these games pretty soon, so stay tuned for more info.
