Developer SenseGames and publisher CE Asia announced that the action RPG AI Limit will be released in 2024 for PC via Steam and PS5.
Unless you have a very long memory, you may not be familiar with the title, but it's part of PlayStation's China Hero Project lineup, and it was revealed all the way back in 2019 as part of the second batch of games sponsored by the initiative.
While a long time has passed, its developers did not stop working on it, and now the game appears to be close to its release.
Asa matter of fact, the Steam page has been opened, and you can already wishlist it.
Alongside the reveal, we also got a really spiffy gameplay trailer, which certainly reinforced the NieR: Automata vibes that the game had when it was originally revealed.

The game is set in a future where civilization has collapse and humanity has been nearly wiped out, while a mysterious substance known as the Mud has spread across the world, triggering the appearance of monsters.
The player steps into the inevitably heeled shoes of Blader, a new lifeform created by a mysterious technology. They can infinitely respawn after death thanks to entities called "branches," but they have been damaged, and need to be restored one by one across Havenswell, the last human city.
Of course, combat is one of the most important parts of this kind of game. Here's how the developers describe it:
- Wide variety and number of weapons.
- Mix and match your weapons and weapon skills.
- Increase Sync Rate with brave attack and wise defense, become even mightier in battle.
- The transformation mechanism in your left hand can drive dozens of spells, attack or assist at will.
- Utilize multiple systems to achieve a rich combination of moves, and seize the opportunity in the ever-changing exchange of attack and defense.
While exploring the city, the player can discover weapons and clothing with different styles and capabilities, also offering a big range of cosmetic variation, so that you can make your blader look unique.
Bladers also have the ability to read the messages left in relics of the ancient civilization to discover the secrets of Havenswell.
AI Limit isn't the only China Hero Project that we've seen resurface recently. Last summer, we were finally able to get a good look at the action RPG Lost Soul Aside.
