With ChinaJoy in Shanghai in full swing, UltiZero Games released a brand new trailer of its highly-anticipated action RPG Lost Soul Aside.
The trailer actually focuses on Ray Tracing, and showcases both beautiful visuals and reflections on top of flashy action against massive bosses. It's certainly impressive, especially considering the story behind the game.
If you're not familiar with Lost Soul Aside, it debuted as a solo project by developer Yang Bing, who released a trailer for his action RPG inspired by Final Fantasy XV and Devil May Cry all the way back in 2016. The trailer gathered massive attention from both gamers and media, which inevitably sparked interest among potential industry partners as well.
The project was then adopted by Sony's China Hero Project as Yang Bing founded UltiZero game, turning his solo dream into full-fledged game development. While creating a full game takes a while, and several years have passed since that groundbreaking debut, the dream still continues.
At the moment, Lost Soul Aside doesn't have a release window just yet, but we know that it's coming for both PS5 and PC, promising a "unique combat system, gorgeous graphics, and a compelling storyline." It'll be interesting to see if it'll live up to the monstrous expectations and hype created by its meteoric raise to fame, but today's trailer certainly looks great.
