Publisher Raw Fury and developer Cosy Computer have announced their Pizza Possum release date.
The fast-paced arcade hide-and-seek game launches across PC and current-gen consoles, including Nintendo Switch, on September 28th, although it probably won't be modded to let you order actual pizza.
This one also isn't coming to Xbox One or PS4, sadly, so you'll have to pick it up on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S (or Switch, of course).
The setup is simple: you are a possum who really loves food, and you must run around town stealing and eating as much as you can without being caught by the guards.
It's not just pizza, either; you can also steal cheese wheels, fruit, and whatever else you set your greedy possum eyes on.
Of course, this being an arcade game, you'll also have a range of whimsical powerups to collect, including punching gloves and smoke bombs. You know, the kinds of things possums use out in the real world.
Pizza Possum can be enjoyed either in single-player or local co-op, so if you want to bring a friend along for the ride, you can do so.
The game also supports Steam Remote Play Together, and as an added bonus, as far as we know, there's no exclusive Pizza Possum weapon tied to a real-life pizza chain.
This will be Berlin-based developer Cosy Computer's first game, although the two co-founders, Thomas van den Berg and Friedemann Allmenröder, have worked on games like Islanders and Kingdom together.
Publisher Raw Fury, meanwhile, is well-known for its indie offerings, including beloved critter RPG Cassette Beasts, swampy adventure game Norco, and point-and-click adventure Kathy Rain.
