Starbreeze has released a video showing the results of a competition that gave one lucky Payday 3 fan, plus three content creators, the chance to try out the game...in an actual prison.
The four heisters chosen for the promo are content creators Marioinatophat, Kknowley, and The_Grouse, and they're joined by fan The Hotline, also known as Rowan Fisher.
They got to try out one of Payday 3's heists in an actual prison setting, although naturally there aren't any actual inmates around.
I don't want to spoil how they got on, so if you want to check out their journey into the world of Payday 3, you can do so via Starbreeze's new trailer right here.
This video coincides with the beginning of Payday 3's early access period, which begins today if you pre-ordered the game's Silver or Gold Edition.
If you're on Game Pass, you can also buy an upgrade that grants access to the Gold Edition, giving you the chance to check out the game early and get a bunch of extra goodies besides.
As if all of this wasn't enough, Starbreeze has also released an official unboxing video for the Payday 3 Collector's Edition, which, as you can imagine, has some pretty nice goodies on display.
The Collector's Edition includes a special mask, a season pass for the game, and tons of other neat stuff, so if you're a huge Payday fan, you should definitely check it out.
Payday 3 launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 21st, which is this Thursday.
A followup to Payday 2, it introduces lots of new stuff to the heist shooter formula, including new heisters to play as, revamped stealth, and fine-tuned combat, among other things.
The game's unique style is also once again present; in fact, Payday's aesthetic is now so renowned that it's making a name for itself at real-life fashion shows.
