Paradox and developer Channel 3 Entertainment have officially announced Foundry, a gorgeous-looking voxel factory-building sim on its way to PC soon.
Channel 3 describes Foundry as a "first-person, factory-building, and automation sandbox set in a beautiful, procedurally-generated voxel world".
You'll face engineering challenges like building pipe networks and power grids, managing massive production lines, and working out how to fully automate your factory operations.
It goes without saying that if you're a fan of games like Factorio, then this looks like it'll be your jam, and hey - maybe it'll even tide you over until that long-awaited Factorio expansion comes out.
You can check out the debut trailer for Paradox and Channel 3's Foundry right here.
Pitched by Paradox as "the perfect mix between grid-based construction games and factory building simulations", Foundry can be enjoyed either solo or alongside friends.
The game was previously available in alpha form on Itch.io, but Channel 3's partnership with Paradox is bringing it to Steam with "new and improved features and content".
Channel 3 vice president Patrik Meder says the collaboration with Paradox will allow his studio to "fulfill the vision and ambitions we have" for the game.
For his part, Paradox's executive producer Sebastian Forsström says Foundry is "the ultimate factory building simulation", and that his studio is "very excited" about the project.
If you are also very excited about Foundry, then you'll be pleased to know it won't be too long until you can get your hands on it.
Along with many other games, Foundry will be getting a demo during the upcoming Steam Next Fest, which kicks off on October 9th and runs until October 16th.
During that period, you'll be able to check out the demo on Steam, so make sure to wishlist Foundry there if you want to play it.
