Today developer Pocketpair released an update for its super-popular survival crafting game Palworld, specifically for the Xbox and Microsoft Store PC version of the game.
The patch is numbered 0.1.1.0 and it doesn't affect the Steam version of the game at all. It's intended to address issues specific to the other versions.
At the moment of this writing, no patch notes have been released, but the developer mentions on Discord that the patch fixes "numerous bugs" including the sound issues that have been affecting the Xbox and Microsoft Store PC builds.
That being said, we also hear that the update comes with its own known issues, which appear to be fairly sizable.
Xbox version

Microsoft Store PC version

- The control pad is not recognized.
- The key guide display is not displayed correctly.
- There is no button to quit the game.
We hear from Pocketpair that the developer is currently working on a fix, but no timelines have been announced.
Update: the fix has been released and the issues above should have now been addressed.
Palworld is currently available for PC and Xbox, alongside a version on Game Pass available at no additional cost. it has sold over 5 million copies on Steam alone without considering other platforms
It has also reached almost 1.6 million concurrent players peak on Valve's platform, achieving the third-highest concurrency number of all time behind PUBG and Counter-Strike 2. At the moment of this writing, 1,112,889 people are playing the game on Steam as reported by the monitoring site SteamDB.
While the game is very popular, it has also been affected by heated controversy, and earlier today the developer's CEO denounced death threads and slanderous attacks toward the game's artists.
