Muv-Luv Dimensions developer NextNinja announced the next SSR pilot who will get his own gacha banner in the recently-released Muv-Luv mobile game.
We're getting the hero of the original trilogy himself, Takeru Shirogane, the boy who got isekaied in the most tragic way possible when Isekai was still a young genre.
He'll be introduced via a new gacha banner on August 24. It'll end on September 7.
In Muv-Luv Dimensions, he appears to be a shooting powerhouse. His Active Skill deals up to 4200% shooting damage within its area of effect, increases evasion by up to 30% for 20 seconds on activation, and the number of bullets he can carry by 40 for 30 seconds. It's pretty insane.
His passive skill increases reload speed by up to 50% for 15 seconds when he has only 5 bullets left.
His ex-passive skill permanently increases evasion by up to 20% for the pilot he's supporting.

If you aren't familiar with Muv-Luv Dimensions, it's a free-to-play mobile game for iOS and Android based on the popular Muv-Luv visual novel series, while featuring a different storyline featuring the same characters. It also includes the original visual-novel trilogy as an unlockable bonus.
The summer special event is currently active, alongside a banner focusing on Mitsuki Hayase (which will be replaced by Takeru) and one on Mana Tsukuyomi.
For the moment, the game has been announced only for Japan. But hopefully, an English version will come down the line.
The Muv-Luv series is widely hailed by fans of the genre as one of the best (if not the best) visual novel franchises of all time and one of the first isekai stories that had a strong influence on Japanese pop culture when the genre was not as oversaturated as it is now.
It expertly mixes a tragic and romantic story with one of the best and deepest sci-fi worlds to date.It's not surprising that Attack on Titan mangaka Hajime Isayama has cited it multiple times as one of his main sources of inspiration.
Most Muv-Luv visual novels can be purchased in English on Steam (while Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative have also been released on PS Vita) alongside the early access action game Project MIKHAIL: A Muv-Luv War Story.
