Today publisher Anchor and developer NextNinja shared the reveal of the second part of the summer event in the new mobile game Muv-Luv Dimensions.
It'll launch at 6:00 pm Japan time on August 3 and it'll add the hard mode to the event. Completing it will unlock the True Ex mission, which will in turn unlock the Ex challenge. The event will be available until August 24.
Four pilots will be added, SSR Yui Takamura, SSR Cryska Barchenowa, SR Gretel Jeckeln, and SR Circe Steinhoff, The first two are from Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse, while the SR pair is from Schwarzesmarken.
Circe will be available as a clear reward for the event, while the rest will be included in a dedicated gacha. Below you can enjoy their art.

If you'd like to see more, recently we saw character trailers for Mana Tsukuyomi, Marimo Jinguuji, Ilfriede von Feulner, Yui Takamura, Takatsugu Ikaruga, and Chizuru Sakaki on top of a TV commercial. For now, the game has been announced only for Japan. But hopefully, aNCHOR and NextNinja will launch it in English as well down the line.
The franchise is widely recognized as one of the best (if not the best) visual novel series of all time and one of the first isekai stories that made waves within Japanese pop culture when the genre wasn't as overused as it is now. It mixes a tragic and romantic story with one of the best and deepest sci-fi worlds ever written. It's so influential that Attack on Titan mangaka Hajime Isayama has cited it several times as one of his main sources of inspiration.
Most Muv-Luv visual novels are currently available in English on Steam (while Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative have also been released on PS Vita) together with the early access action game Project MIKHAIL: A Muv-Luv War Story.
