Today publisher Anchor and developer NextNinja released a new trailer of the upcoming Muv-Luv mobile game Muv-Luv Dimensions.

The trailer showcases the German TSF pilot Ilfriede von Feulner from Muv-Luv Alternative Chronicles Adoration (included in Muv-Luv Photonmelodies). She's also going to appear in the upcoming game Muv-Luv Integrate and likely in Duty Lost Arcadia (even if we know almost nothing about that).

We get to see a bit more of her character design, including the animations, and a glimpse of her gameplay piloting the inevitable Eurofighter Typhoon.

She's voiced by Saeko Tachibana, who appears to be a relative rookie in the industry. Her participation was revealed a few weeks ago alongside many more voice actors. You can hear her voice below.

If you aren't familiar with Muv-Luv Dimensions, it's a free-to-play mobile game for iOS and Android based on the popular Muv-Luv visual novel series. It was originally released last year as Muv-Luv Immortals, but it was affected by significant problems and immediately withdrawn. Publisher aNCHOR decided to completely overhaul the game bringing in seasoned mobile developer NextNinja, which is now preparing for a full relaunch.

If you'd like to see more, recently we saw character trailers for Mana Tsukuyomi and Marimo Jinguuji. For now, the game has been announced only for Japan. But hopefully, aNCHOR and NextNinja will release it in English as well down the line.

The franchise is widely considered one of the best (if not the best) visual novel series of all time and one of the first isekai stories that made waves within Japanese pop culture when the genre wasn't as oversaturated as it is now. It mixes a tragic and romantic story with one of the best and deepest sci-fi worlds ever written. It's so influential that Attack on Titan mangaka Hajime Isayama cited it multiple times as one of his main sources of inspiration. +

Most Muv-Luv visual novels are currently available in English on Steam (while Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative have also been released on PS Vita) alongside the early access action game Project MIKHAIL: A Muv-Luv War Story.

Recently, we also saw the release of volume 2 of the Muv-Luv Regenerative magazine on Steam, delving deeper into the world of the franchise, while a few spiffy plastic model kits have been announced.
