During the livestream, the developers showcased more characters that will be implemented at the game's release and their new voice actors, starting with a few from Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse.

If you'd like to hear their voices, you can find them in the video embedded below, between the 8:30 and the 28:57 marks.

We then get a series of video messages from the voice actors who were previously introduced and are the same ones who appeared in the Muv-Luv Alternative anime.

lastly, we get the introduction of a new character created specifically for Muv-Luv Dimensions, Mashiro Akatoki, voiced by Arisa Sakuraba.

We also hear that pre-registrations are now just shy of 125,000, which would unlock the next goal after the collaboration with Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien. At the moment no official release date has been announced. Another broadcast is set for mid-June, so we'll possibly hear more then.

If you aren't familiar with Muv-Luv Dimensions, it's a free-to-play mobile game for iOS and Android based on the popular Muv-Luv visual novel series. It was originally released last year as Muv-Luv Immortals, but it was affected by significant problems and immediately withdrawn. Publisher aNCHOR decided to completely overhaul the game bringing in seasoned mobile developer NextNinja, which is now preparing for a full relaunch.

If you'd like to see more, recently we saw character trailers for Mana Tsukuyomi and Marimo Jinguuji. For now, the game has been announced only for Japan. But hopefully, aNCHOR and NextNinja will release it in English as well down the line.

The franchise is widely considered one of the best (if not the best) visual novel series of all time and one of the first isekai stories that made waves within Japanese pop culture when the genre wasn't as oversaturated as it is now. It mixes a tragic and romantic story with one of the best and deepest sci-fi worlds ever written. It's so influential that Attack on Titan mangaka Hajime Isayama cited it multiple times as one of his main sources of inspiration. +

Most Muv-Luv visual novels are currently available in English on Steam (while Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative have also been released on PS Vita) alongside the early access action game Project MIKHAIL: A Muv-Luv War Story.

Recently, we also saw the release of volume 2 of the Muv-Luv Regenerative magazine on Steam, delving deeper into the world of the franchise, while a few spiffy plastic model kits have been announced.
