New DLC is on its way to Minecraft next month. The Minecraft Avatar Legends DLC will bring four characters from the much-loved Nickelodeon shows Avatar: The Last Airbender and Avatar: The Legend of Korra, and it's all on the way to the blocky sandbox in less than two weeks.

This news comes via the official Minecraft Twitter account, which posted a tweet yesterday pointing to the new DLC. The tweet asks you to "master the four elements" just like the Avatar does in the show, and highlights the release date for the Avatar Legends DLC, which is December 6th. You won't have to wait too long for Avatar characters to arrive in Minecraft.

So, what can you expect from the Avatar Legends DLC? The only image posted alongside the tweet shows the characters Aang, Firelord Zuko, Katara, and Suki, all of whom are bending the elements of which they're known to be masters. At the very least, we know that these costumes will be in the DLC, although we don't know what else is coming.

Meanwhile, in the Minecraft beta, this camel knows what's up.

Elsewhere in Minecraft, the beta branch recently added some new stuff you should definitely check out if you like desert settings. New additions on the experimental branch include bamboo block variations, changes to camels, and a rather endearing feature whereby putting mobs' heads on note blocks will play the ambient sounds of that mob "when played by a player or powered by Redstone".

You'll be able to grab the Minecraft Avatar Legends DLC from the Minecraft Marketplace on December 6th. That's also where you'll find some of the most ambitious community creations made by modders and Minecraft lovers. Who knows? Perhaps it'll inspire you to make some Minecraft creations of your own. If they're good enough, you might even get hired by an indie studio to work on modding tools for them! Watch this space for more Minecraft news.
