Are you ready to hunt down a new shiny Pokemon who is ready to bring the fire? During the Litwick Community Day in Pokemon GO, you will be able to find shinies, gain triple experience points catching Pokemon, and double the candies on October 15, 2022.
Litwick is a Candle Pokemon that is both the Ghost and Fire type. Once caught, you will be able to evolve Litwick during the event to obtain the exclusive featured attack, or up to five hours after the event ends, giving you ample time to have a Chandelure of your own. After the event ends, you will still be able to evolve Litwick, but the Pokemon will no longer come with the special attack, Poltergeist.
More so, you will have the opportunity to find a Shiny Litwick throughout the event, meaning you can even snag yourself a Shiny Chandelure! Chandelure's event exclusive and featured attack for the community day will be Poltergeist, as mentioned previously, and is a Ghost-type charged attack that has a massive stack of 140 power in both trainer battles as well as in Gyms and Raids. Luckily, Litwick will appear in large numbers throughout the event, so if you play your cards right you will be able to evolve in no time.
There will also be an after-hours Lampent raid event, Lampent being Litwick's second evolution stage, where you will have even more opportunities to score rare candies in order to evolve. These events will take place after the three-hour community day ends, and will go on between 5 pm and 10 pm local time. In order to participate in these 4-Star raid events, you will need to have Raid Passes or Premium Battle Passes, which can either be obtained through the free gift box daily (meaning you would already need to have some) or purchased through the Pokemon GO Shop. Remote Raid Passes cannot be used for this event. If you happen to beat the Raid, Litwick will then appear within 300 meters around the Gym, as long as the raid was hosted for a minimum of 30 minutes.
To evolve Litwick into Lampent, you will need only 25 candies. To evolve Lampent into Chandelure, you will need to collect 100 more candies and a Unova Stone. The only way to score yourself a Unova Stone at this time is by spinning Pokestops and Gyms, and it only has a 1% drop rate per spin.
