One of the most beloved characters of the Like a Dragon series (previously called "Yakuza" in the West) is doubtlessly Goro Majima, and today it's his birthday.
Born on May 14, 1964, the Mad Dog of Shimano is now 59, and since the series advances pretty much in real-time, we have to say that he's certainly still in great shape.
His success isn't just due to the fact that he's been with us since the very beginning when the first Yakuza game was released in 2005, but also his endearing personality split between over-the-top craziness and a heart of gold hidden deep under the snake-print Jacket and eyepatch.
It's probably not farfetched to say that the Like a Dragon series would not be the same without Goro Majima, and he's almost as relevant as long-time protagonist Kazuma Kiryu.

Incidentally, we recently saw the results of the audition for the roles of five cabaret club hostesses in Gaiden, with one of the winners who will get a relevant part in 8. Popular Youtuber and Vtuber Kson was selected among the winners.
