Today Electronic Arts and Ascendant Studios released a new cinematic trailer of the upcoming magic FPS Immortals of Aveum to celebrate San Diego Comic-Con.
The trailer focuses on a scene from the game, and it really provides a good look at the quality of the performance capture that gives the characters very natural expressions.
In this specific scene, protagonist Jak (played by Darren Barnet) brings back an artifact called the Binding Stone, a powerful relic he was actually ordered to destroy.
Obviously, he believes that the powers of the artifact are too good to waste, but the leader of the Immortals Kirkan (played by Gina Torres) definitely doesn't feel the same way about our hero's new weapon.
Something tells me that isn't going into the vault, but I may be wrong, as I don't know how the scene continues. It's just an impression I have.
You can check the video out below and bet on how the story continues.
Immortals of Aveum is part of the EA Originals brand like the recently-released Wild Hearts, and will release on August 22, 2023, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and EA App. The game was actually supposed to launch yesterday, but it has been delayed by a month or so.
If you want to see more, you can check out the previous trailer, a gameplay reveal from Summer Game Fest, and the original reveal made in April.
