Today Microsoft and 343 Industries provided the first look at the upcoming Season 5 for Halo Infinite, ominously titled "Reckoning."
We already know that with the end of the current Season 4, the new season will launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on October 17.
We learn that the Extraction Mode from Halo 4 is coming back, but reimagined. New Arena maps named Prism and Forbidden will also be implemented.
Players will be able to add AI bots to forge creations and earn battle pass XP in custom games, providing another good chance for progression.
Speaking of customization, there will be new options inspired by the Flood. You'll also be able to equip helmets across armor cores, further increasing the variety available.
A new hero rank reward lets you unlock Master Chief's own Infinite Mark VI Armor Kit, which certainly will please many fans.
We also hear that during the season we're getting a Firefight King of the Hill mode, which is a pretty awesome surprise for Firefight aficionados.
You can watch the full trailer for yourself below. There certainly seem to be a lot on the menu and this patch may just be the breath of fresh air dedicated players can feel.
