If you're a fan of the Halo and Destiny franchises, you likely know the name Joseph Staten, who recently worked as the creative leader behind Halo Infinite.

Today Staten announced via Twitter that he has joined Netflix Games to work as the creative director of a new AAA multiplatform game based on an original IP.

In my work life, there's nothing I love more than collaborating with others to build worlds filled with iconic characters, deep mysteries, and endless adventures. So today, I'm thrilled to announce that I've joined Netflix Games as Creative Director for a brand-new AAA multiplatform game and original IP. Let's go!

No further information was provided about the game in the works, but its multiplatform AAA nature certainly seems interesting. Netflix has focused, so far, mostly on mobile titles. We'll have to keep an eye on this, and we'll keep you posted on whatever is announced down the line by the subscription giant.

If you're unfamiliar with Joseph Staten, he is a Bungie veteran, where he worked on Oni, Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, Destiny, and more. He then moved to Xbox and 343 Industries, where he led the creative department of Halo Infinite on top of contributing to shipping many first and second-party games as senior creative director of Xbox Games Studios' Global Publishing.

He announced his departure on April 8, and now we've finally learned where he has landed.
