The Gloomhaven Co-Op Update has arrived, finally letting you play the digital version of this fantastic tabletop game with your friends. That's not all, though — a new mercenary and new enemies are here, too!
If you haven't yet played Gloomhaven, you're missing out on a pretty fun role-playing game. It's garnered a legendary reputation in the tabletop world of the sheer scale of what's included in the game box (along with its hefty price). The creators of the game have had the sense to adapt this tabletop hit to a digital format and put it on Steam Early Access and now a batch of new content has arrived in the Co-Op Update.

What's New in the Gloomhaven Co-Op Update?
As you have probably figured out from the name, the big-ticket addition to the Gloomhaven Co-Op Update is online co-op multiplayer. You and your friends can get together to fight against the terrifying enemies of the land! The developers make a point of mentioning that this game is still in Steam Early Access — you may encounter some bugs with your multiplayer experience.
Also arriving in this update is a new mercenary to help you in your fight. (Move on to the next paragraph if you'd like to avoid spoilers!) The Soothsinger is the newest member to join the crew with a particular penchant for musical skills.
Of course, it's not all power-ups in this update. Players will have to contend with Flame, Wind, Frost, and Earth demons in their adventures, along with the Savvas Lavaflor and Savva Icestorm.
The last big item on the list is new quests! Here's what you can now enjoy in this latest Gloomhaven update:
- 7 new story missions, in search of a mysterious adventurer missing seeking for revenge.
- 8 relic-jobs missions, for treasure hunters …
- 10 journey missions, to restore peace among the roads and unlock new areas on the map!
You can read about the Gloomhaven Co-Op Update in greater detail in the Steam Community announcement. If you haven't yet jumped into this cool new game, it's currently on sale on Steam until September 21; you can pick it up for $16.99 or your regional equivalent, a 32% discount.
