The Gloomhaven release date has been set for October 2021 on Steam, finally bringing Version 1.0 of this digital adaptation of the popular tabletop game to your PC.
Gloomhaven originally began as a tabletop game where players would send their characters into battles in lengthy campaigns with gameplay similar to a simplified version of tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons & Dragons. A massive expansion called Frosthaven is currently in development for next year, and this tabletop RPG is so popular that other developers have released companion products such as a portable adaptation of the game and an organizer for all of the contents of the game's hefty box.
Aside from the original tabletop game, Flaming Fowl Studios and Asmodee Digital have also created a digital adaptation that has been in Steam Early Access since July of 2019. It also promises to pack in a ton of content, just like the original tabletop game. Version 1.0 will also finally feature the debut of the game's proper Campaign Mode.
"There are 250+ missions in the game, shared between the Guildmaster and Campaign modes," read a Steam Community news post detailing the launch. "That should be at least 150 hours of gameplay if you are super fast and never lose, probably above 200+ hours for most people."
That's an awful lot of content in one package! Best of all, you won't have to wait too much longer to play Version 1.0 -- the Gloomhaven PC game is finally hitting Version 1.0 next month.
