Genshin Impact update 1.1 will launch on November 11 adding 4 new characters, a new story chapter, and a new reputation system to the free-to-play Gacha Action-Adventure game. The new characters are Childe, Zongli, Zinyan, and Diona.
Childe (a 5-star character) is a Bow and Hydro user, and is part of the storyline in Liyue so characters have met him. Unfortunately, he's part of the enemy faction although he has acted somewhat friendly so far. He uses large AoE (area of effect) spinning polearm attacks.
Zongli (also a 5-star character) is a Polearm and Geo user, and is also part of the storyline in Liyue so characters have already met him. He has the ability to create a Geo pillar, which is likely climbable and similar to Geo's ability. Xinyan (a 4-star character) is a Claymore and Pyro user, and is Rockstar themed. He also utilizes pyrotechnic-like attacks, which is pretty cool. The last is Diona (also a 4-star character), who is a Bow and Cryo character.
What Else Will Be In Genshin Impact Update 1.1?
Beyond the new characters, the overall story continues with new content as the Liyue story chapter will be completed in 1.1, which should have several major quests to do. Beyond the core story content, there will also be new character sidequests, Mihoyo revealed talking with IGN. Players will also get to meet more of the Adepti, who are the assistants of the God (Archon) of the region. A new character is half human/half Adepti.
There's also a new reputation system that will be added to each of the major cities, Mondstadt or Liyue Harbor. There are four types of quests: killing monsters, exploring the world, completing local quests, and gathering ingredients. These will all give reputation points in the cities. They will also give the player reputation levels, which means rewards such as items, gliders, recipes, and namecards.
The Forrest Hilichurl is a new monster that will be added that represents the CEO of Mihoyo and is a Churl-type enemy. He will attack you with a briefcase or throw things out of the briefcase as a ranged attack.
There's also a new two-week Seasonal Event called Unreconciled Stars that will show the Traveler, Paimon, Mona, Fischl, and a new character, and the player will find floating meteors to start combat challenges. It's a co-op event, and in it, players will be killing enemies and gathering points to reach the point limit in time to progress. It will also give players a free 4-star Fischl, which is neat, and will replace the free Barbara currently available.
This is all in addition to the previously announced Resin system changes.
