Forever Entertainment has released a new Front Mission 2: Remake trailer revolving around the upcoming remake's new features.
Originally slated for release in June, the remake of the mecha strategy RPG is now set to release for Switch sometime in Q3 2023.
After Forever Entertainment released a trailer introducing the civil war-scorched land of Front Mission 2: Remake, it's now time to take a look at some of the features that you can look forward to in the game.
The trailer begins by focusing on the game's "engaging storyline" and "strategic turn-based combat", both of which you'll probably already be expecting if you've also checked out Front Mission 1st: Remake.
Following that, we get to see some of the ways in which you can customize your Wanzer mechs, with lots of fetching paint jobs being shown across a variety of styles.
The trailer then goes on to show off Front Mission 2: Remake's "modernized battle scenes".
We see mechs duking it out with new dynamic camera angles, as well as updated visuals that look like a significant upgrade over the blocky polygon graphics of the PS1 original.
Forever's new trailer shows off the remake's free camera, too, whereby you can rotate and move the camera around to get a better look at the action.
What's more, Front Mission 2: Remake will be localized into 9 different languages, including English, French, German, and Polish, which is especially exciting given that this is the game's first official release in the West.
Front Mission 2: Remake is slated for release on Nintendo Switch sometime later this year.
If it follows in its predecessor's footsteps, then it'll most likely get a release for PC and other consoles at some point as well, although no official word has been given on that yet. Stay tuned for more.
