Ralph Ineson is among the English voice actors who worked on Final Fantasy XVI with the highest profile and he shared his opinion on the game's writing.
In a video interview shared by the retailer GameStop, which you can watch below, Ineson (who plays Cid in the game) mentioned that when he first read some of the lines, he found that the writing was "great" and as an actor what you want is good writing, so he agreed to perform the role.
Asked whether he did any improvisation in the booth, Ineson mentioned that had more to do with the rhythm of the lines rather than the lines themselves, because "the writing was great. It doesn't need messing around with."

The game has sold three million copies in the first week since its release.

Recently, we learned that PlatinumGames and the Kingdom Hearts team at Square Enix helped out with development (funnily, Platinum's Hideki Kamiya is known to be a big fan of the Takarazuka Revue). On top of that, the game has been updated to version 1.03.
