The latest Fall Guys update has been released today, and it includes a Gauntlet Showdown mode where players can play without team games if they so desire. Of course that isn't the only thing released in the patch, but it's perhaps the most notable, as it's something that players have wanted since the Fall Guys' launch.

New features in Fall Guys Season 2 include The Show Selector, which are time-limited shows that give players new ways to enjoy their favorite round types that they want to play (like the aforemenitoned no team games being the first), banners and nameplates that players can customize along with their Fall Guy's attire, and a random outfit generator so players can sort through different combinations that they like.

New levels include Knight Fever, which is apparently the hardest gauntlet level yet, Wall Guys, where players have to traverse castle walls, Egg Siege, which is an Egg Scramble map with moving drawbridges, and Hoopsie Legends, which is a new solo Hoopsie round with movable blocks. Other improvements have been made to the game, such as how party members fall alongside you while waiting for a match to be found, there's now more responsive mantling up ledges, and many levels have had visual updates made to them.

The Base PS4 should now be at 60 FPS rather than 30, which is always a good thing and should be applauded, some crashing issues have been resolved, and bug fixes and optimizations have been applied.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available on the PS4 and PC for $19.99.
