Epic Games launched its Epic Games Store Holiday Sale for 2023 today, but the sale is only part of the deal, as there are plenty of free games to sweeten it.

According to the announcement, there are a whopping 17 games waiting for players every day from here to the end of December.

You can find them on the dedicated page and the first game is Destiny 2: Legacy Collectionwhich will be available until December 20.

If you're unfamiliar with the Destiny 2 Legacy Collection, you can grab it on top of the free Destiny 2 (which is required, you can't get the collection without first unlocking the base game for free on the Epic Games Store).

It includes Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, Beyond Light, and Shadowkeep, which is a good chance to get up to speed with the game before the next expansion The Final Shape launches, especially considering that it has just been delayed

The second free game will be unveiled in a few hours, so keep your eyes peeled for the next freebie.

This is not the only perk coming with the sale, which incidentally, includes the brand-new Alan Wake 2 20% off its original price. You can also grab perks and consumable packages for various live games.

These include Fall Guys, Warframe, Honkai Impact 3rd, Disney Speedstorm, Idle Champions of Forgotten Realms, SYNCED, World of Warships, and EVE Online.

Last, but not least, you'll get unlimited 33% off Epic Coupons for every transaction at or above $14.99, and the Epic Rewards bonus is boosted from 5% to 10%. That's certainly a lot of goodies as Epic Games pushes to win over some market share.

The event will end on January 10, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. PST, 11:00 a.m. EST, 4:00 p.m.GMT, or 5:00 p.m. CET depending on where you live.

Incidentally, Epic Games recently shared a rather rich roadmap of improvements that it's planning to apply to the store over the next few months. The company also won a relevant trial against Google in the ongoing app store monopoly case.,
