Digimon fans have reason to celebrate as Bandai has just announced the Digimon Pendulum Color, 25 years after the release of the original Digimon training game.

This time around, the super-popular toy dedicated to the Digimon franchise will come with a color LCD display and batteries rechargeable via USB C. Pre-orders start today with a release window in Japan in February 2024.

There will be three models, NatureSpirits, Deep Savers, and Nightmare Soldiers, each with its own roster of 32 Digimon.

The original Digimon Pendulum was released all the way back in 2020 as the second among the Digimon training minigames following the Digital Monster, which also received its own color remake earlier this year.

Examples of the rosters include Triceramon and Tailmon for Nature Spirits, Dolphmon and Plesiomon for Deep Savers, and Wizardmon and LadyDevimon for Nightmare Soldiers.

Special evolution routes can be unlocked by connecting with a different model and of course, the Jogress feature typical of this game is back.

Incidentally, an additional product that will be released in the future related to the Jogress feature has been teased and will unlock one additional digimon that can evolve only with it.

The speed of training has been increased compared to the 1998 original, while additional features like a cold mode and the ability to save up to one Digimon in training as a backup. That Digimon can also be used as Jogress partner.

Funnily, Bandai released a trailer that pays homage to the absolutely meme-tastic 1998 commercials, which you can watch below.

Obviously, they knew the meme value of the trailer and the fact that the product has many fans in the West, as they provided English subtitles.
