Ghost Ship Games has revealed the Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor Early Access release date.
The Vampire Survivors-esque "auto-shooter", which is being developed by Don't Die in the West developer Funday Games, launches on Steam via Early Access on February 14th, just in time for Valentine's Day.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor will mark the first game in what is now the Deep Rock Galactic series developed by an external studio. It'll be published by Ghost Ship's publishing wing, which was established last year.
The Early Access version of the game will feature four classes, 40 different weapon types, and 20 different enemy types, as well as three biomes.
Ghost Ship and Funday say they intend for Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor to remain in Early Access for up to a year, during which time new content will be added based on player feedback.
In essence, the game is a Deep Rock Galactic-themed take on the likes of Vampire Survivors and many of the games like it; Funday's game will put a dwarven spin on the usual auto-shooting and looting systems present in the genre.
As you'd probably expect from a Deep Rock Galactic game, levels in Survivor will be procedurally generated, as will the structure of enemy waves.
You'll be given an objective to pursue in each mission, and as you blast your way through the alien hordes, you'll gain more and more loot, which you'll be able to cash in if you manage to survive.
What's more (or should that be "ore"?), if you're a Deep Rock Galactic fan, you'll apparently find much to recognize in Survivor, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled if you're a greybeard.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor launches for PC via Steam Early Access on February 14th. Stay tuned for more on this and all other things Deep Rock Galactic-related.
