The developers of Dave the Diver announced that the game is getting a content update coming in mid-October, with plenty of content and changes shaped by user feedback.
New missions will be added to the Glacier area, which was primarily a story-focused area. On top of that, we're getting crabs and lobsters that can be captured with a dedicated crab trap. There will also be a lobster party event.
The developers have also expanded night gameplay, including many species that will appear only at night.
Farm automation features have been added including an NPC that will help with farming, egg storage, and chicken feed dispensers.
New and powerful bosses are coming, on top of a special customer, the wandering merchant. Among other things, he'll sell a secret recipe.
More species including crabs and lobsters will become available to raise on the fish farm. Speaking of farming, you'll also be able to upgrade seed.
The phone is getting an operator that will tell you your fortune for the day and keep you updated on daily activities.
Lastly, a certain pesky shark has been nerfed rather considerably.

The Nintendo Switch version will be released on October 26, as announced during the latest Nintendo Direct. The content of the update mentioned in this article will be included in the Switch port from day one.
