Free to play co-op/competitive first-person shooter hybrid The Cycle is getting story missions added to it, along with visual updates and a new map.
If you've been looking for more to do in the game, then the newest update has added some story missions. It gives you a chance to play something solo, instead of having to team up with others, and gives you some insight into the lore of the world. Up until now, The Cycle's main mode had players playing co-op to earn points while also trying to avoid other players and not get killed.
The other big addition in this update is the ability to try the next map. Public testing of the map will happen today, November 22nd, and will run from 8 am to 2 pm PST. The map features more vertical opportunities than the first one and features four distinctive biomes to explore. Of course, any map wouldn't be complete without a giant spaceship to explore, and this one has that as well. Better get exploring. The full release of the map is expected to happen in early 2020.
A new feature called The Navigator is being added to the game as well. This will let players get important information on objectives without having to open up the map. Many of the weapons have had balance changes or their abilities tweaked to work better as well, and the graphics have been overhauled to look better. Overall, the update seems to be adding a lot to The Cycle, and the developers have promised more to come in 2020.
The Cycle is currently available on PC exclusively via the Epic Games Store.
