A pretty cool Call of Duty: Modern Warfare watch has debuted in the Modern Warfare store that lets you see your deaths. Unfortunately, it's part of a bundle that costs $20.
Let's take a moment to step back and explain: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare sells cosmetics, just as they've done for the last few games. One of the newer additions to their lineup of cosmetics is the ability to change out your watch for the very first time in the franchise.
As MP1st reports, one of these new watches will let you see how many times you've died. If you haven't been following the game lately, you might not know that the developers made the decision to remove the scoreboard from the game. That means that this Call of Duty: Modern Warfare watch is now the only way to see how many times you've died in the middle of a match; otherwise, you'll have to wait for the match to be over to see your score.
It wouldn't be that big of a deal if the item was available on its own, but regrettably, it can only be picked up as part of a bundle.
The 'Mother Russia' Bundle: The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Watch and more
Here's what's included in the "Mother Russia" Bundle that more or less costs $20:
- "Commuter" Operator Skin
- "Old Country" Light Machine Gun
- "Slick Steel" Handgun
- "Time To Die" Watch
- "Motherland" Sticker
- "Ursa Roar" Emblem
- "Rainin' Lead" Calling Card
- "That is that" Operator Quip
- "Brass Tactics" Finishing Move
- "1 Tier Skip" Battle Pass
Considering that there are ten items in the bundle, that would price this new watch at roughly $2. It's not yet available on its own, but it may be in the future.
The removal of the scoreboard from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was a contentious move for some, but the debut of this watch — especially as an exclusive to a bundle — might feel especially bittersweet for the people out there. You can buy it right now in the Modern Warfare store for $20 or your regional equivalent.
