Today Activision and Sledgehammer Games provided the first reveal about the multiplayer features of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
The trailer showcases a look at the maps that we can expect in the game, and we learn that there will be 16 "iconic" ones, but modernized for fast-paced combat.
We also get the first glimpse of what appears to be a veritable army of cosmetic items.
The trailer doesn't really show much at all in terms of raw gameplay, but Activision promised to show that within a reveal event on October 5, so the wait won't be long.
The YouTube video is already set up and ready to start, so you can watch it on the official Call of Duty channel when it airs bright and early at 9:00 a.m. PDT on the 5th.
