BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment has a longstanding history in the fighting game community and now they're going to be getting together some industry heavyweights for a lengthy discussion on the topic. This fighting game roundtable discussion is arriving in just a few days and it's sure to be packed full of surprises.
If you're unfamiliar with BANDAI NAMCO's fighting games, well... they've published a lot of them. Their games include One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, Jump Force, SoulCalibur 6, Dragon Ball FighterZ, TEKKEN 7, and so many others that I've already lost count.
Now, BANDAI NAMCO is bringing together some of the most interesting people behind these great fighting games to discuss the genre. The list of participants is already pretty darn impressive!
Who's Participating in the Fighting Game Roundtable Discussion?
The following developers and publishers will be participating in the roundtable discussion according to a press release:
- Arc System Works (Guilty Gear, BlazBlue)
- ARIKA (Fighting EX Layer)
- BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment (See the massive list of fighting games above)
- CAPCOM (Street Fighter, Capcom Vs.)
- KOEI TECMO (Dead or Alive)
- SNK (Samurai Shodown, King of Fighters)
Additionally, TEKKEN 7 Producer Katsuhiro Harada and SoulCalibur 6 Producer Motohiro Okubo will be involved in the discussion as representatives of BANDAI NAMCO. These two luminaries will have announcements regarding both of those games.
When and Where Can You Watch the Fighting Game Roundtable Discussion?
If you're even a halfway involved fan of fighting games, there's sure to be something cool to see in this event. When and where can you watch it?
You'll be able to catch this event streamed live on twitch.tv/bandainamcous starting on July 31, 2020, at 8:00 PM EDT (5:00 PM PDT). There's no indication how long the event will be going on for, but I'd wager it'll last for at least an hour.
That's not all, though! The organizers want to hear from the community on the topic of fighting games; tweet with the hashtag #JFGPR to get your suggested questions in for the fighting game roundtable discussion. You'll be able to watch it this Friday on Twitch.
