Today Bandai Namco showcased plenty of new gameplay of the upcoming mecha game Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon.
We get to see a mission, starting with your mecha's mobility, including the ability to use vertical catapults to gain altitude and jump over obstacles.
Speaking of combat, the video showcases how you can stagger enemies to deal heavy damage.
Of course, you can't have an Armored Core game without customization, and we get a glimpse of the Assembly menu that lets you change parts to suit your playstyle.
We then get into more missions, showcasing the briefing and then combat against an absolutely massive enemy. We also see different biomes from deserts to frozen areas with falling snow.
You can watch the video below.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will launch worldwide on August 25 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. It'll mark a big return of the series, which has been dormant for several years while FromSoftware dedicated itself to the Souls franchise and similar action-RPGs.
The game was announced in December 2022 at The Game Awards, and recently we heard more details from producer Yatsutaka Ogura about a variety of topics including difficulty, mech customization, action, and online elements. We also saw another trailer and took a look at more awesome gameplay. Lastly, the story trailer was released just a few days ago.
Of course, you should read our hands-on preview, in which our Erren Van Duine mentions that Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon "is shaping up to be another FromSoftware hit."
