Robot in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon

Fulfilling long-held expectations and leaks, Armored Core VI was announced at The Game Awards, with the subtitle Fires of Rubicon.

The latest game from the studio FromSoftware, whose Elden Ring earned several awards at The Game Awards this evening, shows a fiery apocalypse taking over the planet. Once the fires are out, the Armored Core VI trailer shows a robot salvaging wreckage and making its way through a wasteland that appears to be slowly taken back over by nature.

We get glimpses of combat as the robot is under attack by helicopters and other enemies, but it appears to be able to more than hold its own against an onslaught of adversaries. Knowing FromSoft's track record of meticulously designing challenging games, there's bound to be plenty of combat mechanics for players to master when the Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon release date arrives in 2023.

Though FromSoft is known for Dark Souls and Elden Ring, the Armored Core series goes back as one of their earliest titles with the first one released in 1997. The last Armored Core game came out a decade ago, leaving fans of this series very eager to see what the latest installment will offer.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon teases mech action and a host of fighting dynamics that looks to include guns, blades, and potentially environmental weapons. As for the setting, our first look at Armored Core VI reveals a beautifully detailed world with plenty of opportunity to explore. We only have a 2023 release window so far, but there's bound to be plenty of anticipation for this latest game from the studio that produced the Game of the Year winner Elden Ring

When the Armored Core VI release date lands in 2023 players will be able to experience this story on will PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
