If you're not up to speed, Alan Wake 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the 2010 survival horror adventure Alan Wake.
As well as the titular writer himself, the game will also star FBI agent Saga Anderson, who's attempting to investigate a series of murders that may or may not be tied up with Wake and his writings (spoiler: they almost certainly are).
In gameplay terms, Alan Wake 2 will play similarly to the first game. It'll be a survival horror title in which you'll need to weaken your enemies with your flashlight before you can damage them.
Since Anderson is a detective, Alan Wake 2 will also incorporate some detective gameplay elements, including Anderson's Mind Palace, where you'll ponder clues and try to piece together the game's central mystery.
Alan Wake 2 launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 27th. Stay tuned for more.
